Northwest Franklin County Historical Society
Museum

The Society broke ground April 14, 1987 for the construction of
a museum to be named the Porter-Datz Museum. It was opened to
the public during the Franklin County Fair from July 19 to July
25, 1987. The museum is of frame construction and contains 2,376
square feet. A porch is on the front with dimensions of 40 feet
by 11.5 feet. In January, 2004, construction of an extension was
started. It was completed in time to be opened to the public
during the Franklin County Fair in July, 2004.
The Northwest Franklin County Historical Society museum is
located near the heart of downtown Old Hilliard, on the grounds
of Weaver Park, and is adjacent to the historical village. |
